Lead Maintenance Technician

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Community: 92-unit multifamily property
Pay: $27-$34 per hour, plus overtime

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day maintenance at a 92-unit community in Lubbock. This is a working-lead position for someone who can troubleshoot and complete repairs, keep service requests moving, and help maintain clean, safe, and well-kept apartments and common areas.

Responsibilities

Handle and prioritize maintenance requests, apartment turns, and preventive maintenance.
Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and other apartment systems.
Maintain apartments, common areas, grounds, and the pool in a safe and serviceable condition.
Coordinate vendor visits and track work orders, supplies, and maintenance needs.
Support and guide maintenance team members and communicate professionally with residents.
Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Multifamily maintenance experience, including experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Current HVAC certification applicable to the role.
Strong troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of common apartment systems.
Ability to organize work, communicate clearly, and deliver courteous resident service.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Compensation and benefits

$27-$34 per hour, plus overtime
